Memory. During three different summers, I’ve found each of these figures at the Waldport Flea Market. Two dogs to represent the ones here and the ones gone, one ears up and one ears down, one big and one little. The Bodhisattva in the middle to remind me who I am. They are of that place, “where the forest meets the sea,” where half my heart lives.
I am in the place where the forest meets the see and thinking of you. Someday you will be here, too. And the walks and talks we will have then, dear friend.
I’m taking that as a promise, Mary. ♥
Feathers! I’ve become a finder of feathers over the past few months and now they seem to show up everywhere in my life. Apparently even in blog posts I read 😉
🙂 I wish I was better at identifying what specific birds they’ve come from. I’m so curious about some of them.
You have to visit the Feather Atlas! It’s the US Fish and Wildlife’s website for identifying feathers. It’s SO cool. Of the ones I’ve tried to ID of mine, I’ve been able to figure out about 90 percent. http://www.fws.gov/lab/featheratlas/
Oh, thanks!
