Sunday Morning
Sunday morning yoga with Aramati, my favorite class, one of my favorite teachers, my favorite studio, (the place where I start teacher training in January). Today, there was a little girl in class with us, maybe eight years old, and I was so happy for her, that she had a mom who would take her to such a thing, that she would want to go with her mom, that there are moms and kids like that in the world, still.
I love Sunday morning yoga! I’m a little sad because my Sunday morning teacher is going on maternity leave after next weekend. (but happy for her, of course) My yoga studio does a kids’ class once a month, and my 6yo likes to go with me. =)
That’s so great that your six year old likes to go. 🙂
Teacher training in January? Awesomeness!
Yes! I’ve been wanting to for awhile, and that session’s schedule just so happened to work out for me.
I am really excited that you are doing the spring teacher training!!! Hopefully (schedule allowing) I will be helping with that one 🙂
And yes, it was really fun to have a little yogi in class 🙂
I am so looking forward to it. I’ve been considering it for a long time, and that one works with my schedule (whereas most of the others, with the weekday sessions, wouldn’t have).
I think you’ll be glad to know that Annabelle is growing up to be quite the little yogi. Elan has a great kids’ class on Saturdays that we learned about from her daycare teacher who’d done teacher training there before incorporating it into her daycare routine. I’m so glad to learn that you’re going to be a yoga teacher! You’ll be awesome.
That makes me crazy happy that Annabelle is a yogini! I was thinking during class today I’d love to teach kids, especially girls. Anyway, the initial intention for teacher training is to take my own practice deeper. We’ll see where it goes after that, but I’d love to offer contemplative writing classes that had yoga and meditation incorporated.
Also, I feel very honored that my class makes your favorites list. Yesterday, when I saw you were next in line to check in, it gave me a moment of peace, since I knew that you were both understanding of the challenges of the new system, and that you would be easy to check in. Thank you for this, and everything you bring to class.
I’ve told you before, you are an amazing teacher, because you are such an openhearted and genuine person, so present and loving. And you make me laugh 🙂
