From Jamie’s post: “The wolf reminds us to connect to our hunger, to notice what desires are calling for our attention. Our dreamboards can help us bring these desires to light and to being! This is an invitation to not just notice our desires but to begin the important work of tending to them, stepping into what we can do to honour what we know of our dreams. What a beautiful way to begin the year.”
The Full Wolf Moon asks “What are you hungry for?”
I am hungry for home, for beauty, for rest, for play,
for companionship and time alone, for comfort and joy.
I am hungry for books, for reading, for learning and dreaming.
I long to relax, open, deepen.
I am hungry for friendship and laughter,
to connect, to tell the truth, for tribe, for play,
to find comfort and joy in these things.
I long to relax, open, deepen.
I also hunger for elements of nature.
When you step out into the wilderness,
you must give yourself over to nature.
Respecting its power and unpredictability,
you must give yourself courage,
while remaining humble and awake.
I am hungry for trails less traveled, for space.
I long to relax, open, deepen.
I hunger for love, wisdom, and kindness.
I long to stay awake, to practice, to feel free.
I am hungry for life.
P.S. I find it curious that the one thing that didn’t come up, that I wasn’t hungry for is food.
Such a happy board. I love the handwritten words by the owl. I hope your dreams come true this month!
Thanks, Kristina!
Love your images here! May your dreams come true!
Thank you 🙂
OH that owl really stands out for me…. owls are wisdom, and great board. Hope all your dreams come true Jill.
Me too, Krissie–as soon as I saw it, I knew that was going to be central to this board.
I love your dream board, Jill. Love your books and more books … and space and more space! I did my dream board today too. Hope you’ll come visit. ;-> BTW, I started a new job last week after 9 months of unemployment. I’m soooo happy to be working again!
There are stacks of books like this growing all around my house, I haven’t been reading enough and I am hungry for more of that, also the stillness and rest that come with that practice. Congratulations on the new job!
Very thoughtful board. May all your dreams come true.
Thanks, Lucy. 🙂
I love this board. The owl is wonderful, but what attracted me was “full moon wolf”. Wolves are huge symbols for me, of strength, survival, and so much more. Thank you for sharing this one with us!
For me too, Dana–actually, any canines 🙂
How beautiful. There’s such power in exploring our dreams through the board and then also deepening the journey through words. You have a gift for articulation, Jill.
May all of your dreams come true.
Thank you, Jamie. And as always, so much love and gratitude to you, for introducing me to the practice, for providing the regular prompts and space to share.
Your board is beautiful & powerful. And your writing, as always, is so lyrical & beautiful. I love this quote, too:
When you step out into the wilderness,
you must give yourself over to nature.
Respecting its power and unpredictability,
you must give yourself courage,
while remaining humble and awake.
Is this your writing?
May all your dreams come true!
I wish I had written that one, Lisa. It’s actually a part of that owl picture, which is a page from a Patagonia catalog.
