Day of Rest

fallenroses02At one time, these wild pink roses were growing at the edge of someone’s yard. With erosion, they eventually fell over the side and slid down the cliff, but rather than being ruined or even destroyed in the fall, they hung on and kept going — you might even argue they are thriving. There seems to be a metaphor in that, something about not giving up, something about making the best of whatever arises (or in this case, whatever falls).
