Day of Rest

Another reason to love.

Joy and pleasure are not reserved for when “things are good.” They can be our solace for when things are not good at all. ~SARK

Morning stillness reflects heaven and earth, tinted by mineral deposits and aquatic plant life in Five Flower Lake. The Chinese call this landscape magical.

Artist Dr. Stephen Cowan created this image of the Medicine Buddha, made out of hundreds of pieces of paper from at least seven countries, to imbue the viewer with healing energy. The Medicine Buddha eases suffering, enhances health, and inspires enlightenment.

The message that underlies healing is simple yet radical: We are already whole. Underneath our fears and worries, unaffected by the many layers of our conditioning and actions, is a peaceful core. The work of healing is in peeling away the barriers of fear that keep us unaware of our true nature of love, peace, and rich interconnection with the web of life, Healing is the rediscovery of who we are and who we have always been. ~Joan Borysenko, Removing Barriers to the Peaceful Core

May he be well.
May he be happy.
He is precious.
He is loved.

Full Moon Dreamboard: Full Flower Moon

Full Flower Moon

From Jamie’s post: “What are you dreaming under this Full Flower Moon? This is the time when the buds have transformed into blooms, reminding us it is time to do the same. What are your full flower dreams? Who are you when you’re in full bloom?”

The Full Flower Moon asks:
“How would you like to bloom? Who are you when you’re in full bloom?”

Whole living, body and soul in balance
Perfect just as you are
You are here
You, in bloom
Flourish in life and love
Healthy

The flow
Inspiration
Glow!
Spark new ideas
anytime, anywhere
Inspire change
Dream it, do it!

Look at you tap your creativity,
Find your calling
and write your next chapter
Today is the day you let it go
Your chance will come, smiling

Get the career you deserve
Action plan: escape artist
Yes, everyone has a creative side
but to get the muse to sit down and stay a while
You need to carve out a space of your own

Pure magic at your fingertips
Pure bliss

P.S. I was in such a hurry last night to get this post done, I didn’t take the time to explain some of the imagery. As I took another look at it this morning, I made a few notes about it, and decided to go ahead and add them.

Yoga and meditation as the foundation of everything else, always. I am happily writing, surrounded by books and journals, with yellow blooms arising from my head, yellow the color of the sun, and a white lotus at my feet. A medicine Buddha, a healer whose color is meant to illuminate and awaken minds, and out of his head blooms a flower with petals of tiny buddhas. And overall, in the words and images, a sense that I am already here, it’s Spring now, and this is already happening, embodied and manifesting.
