No matter who sings it, this is one of my favorite happy/sad songs, (there are many covers of it that I love as much as the original, this being one of my favorites). The way Toto offers Dorothy/Judy his paw in this video, saying “pet me,” just melts me. My Dexter does the same thing–in fact this particular Toto looks like a mini Dexter.

Sometimes I feel like Dorothy, in such a hurry to get somewhere else, only to discover after a long journey that what my heart longed for was always “right here.”
