I’m am in the process of a Life Rehab. I am breaking bad habits and establishing practices that will support me as I walk this path. Some of the resources that have been helpful to me are listed here. I will continue to add to it as I find new things and as new materials and people inspire me.
~ECourses, Workshops, and Retreats~
Susannah Conway: I took her Unravelling, Journal Your Life, The Sacred Along, The Inside Story, and Blogging from the Heart courses. She’s a fantastic teacher and human, a real role model for how to do this sort of work. Read her Self-Compassion Saturday post, or my open love letter to her for a little more about her and what she does.
Laurie Wagner: I’ve taken her Telling True Stories class, signed up for her 27 days of writing prompts, and regularly take part in her online Wild Writing Course. I can’t say enough good things about her, as a human and a teacher. She truly is one of my core teachers and I love her. She’s taught me so much about being a writer and a teacher, about telling the truth. Read her Self-Compassion Saturday post, or my open love letter to her for a little more about her and what she does.
Andrea Scher: I’ve taken her Mondo Beyondo (in fact, it’s the reason I started this blog, AND I got to be a teaching assistant for the course, twice — here’s a post I wrote about the course), Superhero Photo, Cultivating Courage, and Dream Lab courses, along with her E-course Boot Camp. She is one of the most motivating, inspiring teachers there is. I literally would not be here, writing this blog and doing the work I’m doing, without her influence and friendship. Read her Self-Compassion Saturday post, or my open love letter to her for a little more about her and what she does.
Susan Piver: I’ve been a member of Susan’s Open Heart Project from the beginning, have taken countless courses with Susan, and been on retreat with her five times, (in particular, she facilitates a Fearless Creativity Writing and Meditation Retreat at Shambhala Mountain Center each winter, and I’ve been able to go the last four years). I absolutely adore her, love her so much, am so grateful for her. She has been one of my core teachers, as well as a dear friend. Read her Self-Compassion Saturday post, or a post I wrote about being on retreat with her, or a review I wrote of her latest book for a little more about her and what she does.
Rachel Cole: I’ve both attended and hosted a Well-Fed Woman Mini Retreatshop, took part in her Intuitive Eating Book group, completed Feast, and regularly sign up for her holiday offering, Savor. She is powerful, fiercely compassionate and wise. Working with Rachel caused a profound shift in my life, a revolution if you will. There’s no way to even begin to measure her impact on me, or my gratitude and love for her. Read her Self-Compassion Saturday post, or the Life Rehab Resource post I wrote about her for a little more about her and what she does.

I love the idea of life rehab. It’s such a wonderful way to describe healing….
